Thank you for adding this information!
With the new escalation of troops being deployed to Iraq I thought we should keep an eye on it to see if the plan is working.

I think when you originally put this counter here the count was at 3,043 that day. Do you remember?

As I recall, the counter was at 3065 when it was posted here. It has continued to advance steadily ever since.

And regarding the civilian casualties, "the worst day so far" has happened twice in the past month, the lastest being just yesterday.

Ok Thank you! 3,065 will be our official count to start with.

For anyone who doesn't know.... this count includes all service personnel who are currently home, in the hospital, with injuries sustained in Iraq but subsequently die here in the USA from their injuries.

Was hoping that some of you would be able to say an extra prayer for my sister SSGT Tiffany Starling, who was just deployed to Iraq for an undetermined amount of time. Tiffany leaves behind her 2.5 year old son Anthony and a huge family that loves her and misses her and wishes her a safe return.

Thank you so much for having this thread available.

Love,
Ginger

Hi Ginger!

Yes! Your sister made a beautiful blanket & pillow for my new grandson who was born last Sunday. Smile

God be with Tiffany as she serves our country in Iraq.
Our prayers are with her and your family.

- We will remember your sister and her family during her time in Iraq. May God be with her and hold her in His hands ... and bring her safely home.

Thank you so much Wishbone and Drumstick!

Drumstick, she obviously had to put the blanket business on hold when she recieved her deployment orders but I will tell you she stays very busy with it....I told her when she comes back we should really look into marketing them into stores or something.

Anyway, I really appreciate the support and prayers, she needs them as well as our family as we aren't sleeping much right now until she comes home.....Sad I did recieve an email from her tonight that said "I am ok" she isn't allowed to really say much but I threatened her to at least send me two words...I'm ok, via email whenever she could.....LOL....so tonight I will try and get some rest...

Take care
love,
ginger

Ginger;

Sorry I just now saw your post. I rarely get on this site anymore. I will keep your sister and family in my prayers (you've been there since CFM). As a retired military member I can tell you that you are absolutely right about not being allowed to tell "The Folks Back Home" anything. Been There, Done That.

Anyway, take care and God Bless you and yours.
